Township of Old Bridge Litter Slogan Contest
Old Bridge Township held a litter slogan contest for its school children. Prizes were awarded to the winners and promotional items were given to everyone who entered. The winning slogan was posted on the local cable station and was used in a poster that advertises the town’s Clean Communities Program.
Township of Brick Bag Contest
Brick Township partnered with local Shop Rite and the elementary schools to decorate brown grocery bags with an Earth Day message. The students decorated the bags and identified their grade and school (no names). These bags were placed at the register for shoppers to take as they bagged their groceries. The students loved decorating them and going to the grocery store to find their bags. Some of the students used recycled material to decorate the bags.
